ReadPop Privacy Policy

Geo Systems Dev PTY LTD (“Geo Systems Dev”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates ReadPop, an educational reading application for children and their parents or guardians (the “App”). This policy explains what information is handled when the App is used.

Privacy summary

• ReadPop does not require an account and does not ask a child for their name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• ReadPop contains no advertising and does not use advertising identifiers or behavioral advertising.
• Reading progress, language and age-range settings, filters, and downloaded book files are stored locally on the device.
• If a parent or guardian uses subscriptions, the app stores and RevenueCat process purchase information and an anonymous app identifier so paid access can be provided and restored.
• The App downloads educational book content from our content host, which necessarily receives ordinary network request information such as an IP address and browser/app request headers.

Information handled on the device

ReadPop stores reading progress, completion state, preferences, and cached educational content in the browser or app storage on the device. We do not receive this locally stored reading history. It remains until it is cleared using ReadPop’s refresh/reset control, cleared through device or browser settings, or the App is uninstalled.

Subscriptions and purchase information

ReadPop uses Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchasing and RevenueCat to offer and manage subscriptions. These services may process:

• an automatically generated anonymous RevenueCat App User ID;
• product identifiers, purchase receipts, purchase history, subscription status, renewal and expiration information;
• platform, app version, locale, currency, and limited technical request information needed to validate purchases and deliver subscription access.

We use this information only for app functionality, purchase validation, fraud prevention, customer support, and aggregate subscription reporting. ReadPop does not create its own user accounts, and we do not provide RevenueCat with a child’s name, email address, advertising identifier, or precise location. We do not enable advertising or attribution integrations in RevenueCat.

Hosted educational content and network data

The App retrieves book catalogues, text, and artwork over HTTPS from content infrastructure operated for Geo Systems Dev, currently using GitLab Pages. Like most internet services, the hosting provider may receive an IP address, date and time, requested URL, user agent, and diagnostic/security logs when a file is requested. We use hosted content to deliver and update the books and for service security and reliability—not to profile children or serve advertising.

Information we do not collect

ReadPop does not include analytics, advertising, social networking, chat, user-generated content, or account registration. The App does not request access to precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health information, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Children’s privacy

ReadPop is designed for children aged approximately 3–8, with subscription and legal decisions intended for a parent or guardian. We design the App to minimise data and do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Retention, deletion, and choices

Local reading data and downloaded content can be erased with the refresh/reset control, through device/browser storage settings, or by uninstalling the App. Store transaction records and RevenueCat subscription records are retained according to legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and service requirements and the policies of those providers.

To ask about information associated with a purchase, request access or deletion where applicable, or exercise another privacy right, contact us. Because ReadPop uses anonymous identifiers and no account, we may need the anonymous app identifier or store transaction information to locate a record, and in some cases we may not be able to connect an anonymous record to a particular person.

Security and international processing

ReadPop uses HTTPS for hosted content and relies on Apple, Google, RevenueCat, GitLab, and device security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. These providers may process information in countries outside Australia, subject to their published safeguards and policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ReadPop or its service providers change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective or last-modified date. Material changes will be communicated in the App or store listing where appropriate.
